Three Weeks and Counting

Today I think I’m suffering from writers block, yes ladies and gentleman believe it or not I am struggling to clearly focus on a topic, however, I think I may know why. I have exactly 21 days until my next cruise and I have done NOTHING as of yet in the way of packing, organising or even writing a list of the things I am going to need.

I’ve shrugged it off, oh ill do it another day but today I realised I have so much to do between now and then I really need to get my butt into gear and get moving! There are some things though I wish were available in order to speed the whole pre-cruise process up, or maybe I am simply living in a delusional world of my own.

Wouldn’t it be nice if there was some sort of packing service? Now wait, just entertain my idea for a minute. If like me you are one of the worlds worst when it comes to packing a service such as this could be invaluable! I tend to over pack then lose my cool when I can’t get the zip to close, I really have no patience at all when it comes to things like this and nine times out of ten everything ends up being dragged out and thrown to the floor by which time I realise I’ve then just created more work for myself. I can’t stop myself from doing it though and every cruise I go through the same thing (you’d think by now I would have learned) last time I took TWO bags and I still had a fiasco with packing. I always seem to be ok coming back (how that works is beyond me) but actually getting my case ready to leave, boy, it is an entirely different story.

Another thing I would quite like to exterminate is the distance between my home and Southampton; it takes me 7 hours on the coach!! It’s not too bad on the way there but coming back is utter torture, I just pray that it will all soon be over.

If however there is one thing I would never want to tamper with it’s the feeling I get every time I reach Southampton docks. Even if I have seen the same ship 10 or 15 times the excitement inside is like that of a child on Christmas morning, I really never get bored with the view.

As I am such a ship enthusiast I have already checked to see what other ships will be in Southampton on the day we sail and it’s just us!! Can you believe that, rotten luck? Oh well I guess that means the traffic around the city won’t be too bad.

I sailed on her for the first time in August of this year and I'm looking forward to meeting her again in 2018. #cruise #cruiseship #travel The impressive towering walls of #framlinghamcastle in Suffolk.
