Say Hello to MSC Preziosa

So MSC Cruises are going to welcome yet another ship to the Fantasia Class in the not so distant future and her name will be the MSC Preziosa.

She will weigh in at 140,000 GRT and will have very similar features to those of her sister ships within the same class, including the MSC Divina who is due to grace us with her presence in May.

MSC Preziosa with be the thirteenth addition to the MSC Cruises fleet and will certainly not disappoint. Apparently her overall construction is roughly 45% complete and her mechanical sections 70% complete. She will be 333 metres long and 38 metres wide. Yet another impressive vessel if I do say so myself.

Although not due to join the fleet until March 2013 I am sure many are already excited to get more information on what they can expect on board. Well, let’s take a look, There will be four main restaurants, two speciality restaurants, a casino, four swimming pools (including an infinity pool) 12 whirlpools, bowling alley, 21 bars (YES 21!!!) sports area, children’s area, MSC Aurea Spa and more.

She will have 1,751 cabins, 26 lifts and 18 decks, 14 of which are passenger decks and will boast 69 exclusive MSC Yacht Club cabins.

MSC Cruises really are moving the goal posts when it comes to creating impressive vessels. Forever growing in size and appeal the fleet is one of the most impressive at sea and I am sure both MSC Divina and MSC Preziosa when they join us will not disappoint.

The Bay of Islands welcoming committee came out in full force to greet us this morning. It was breathtaking, there were #dolphins everywhere - even a baby came to greet us! #NewZealand #marinelife #BayOfIslands #paihia I have a massive fear of heights, but yesterday I put my big girl pants on and went up the #SkyTower in #Auckland #NewZealand. I was TERRIFIED, but I DID IT! The views are absolutely incredible and I was so happy the sky was clear.
Fun facts:

It took two years and nine months to build, at a cost of NZ$85 million.
It's 328 metres high

Has 1,267 stairs from the base to the Sky Deck

I went to 2 levels: Sky Deck at 722 feet and the Main Observation Level at 610 feet.
