During my time on Sky Princess, I tried to test out as many dining options as I physically could in 4 days, and now I’m sharing it with you! I sampled everything from speciality to poolside, room service to buffet.
The food selection was very good, there’s no denying that, and you could order certain items through the app to virtually any area onboard – I found this very cool, but I’ve already told you how much I love the OceanMedallion, so I’ll not get started on that again!
I want this blog to be about the food, so I won’t ramble on for too much longer, but I do want to say that Crown Grill is still my favourite of Princess Cruises’ speciality dining options. Everything there is always perfect and I’m a sucker for a good steak with creamed spinach! On this sailing I also tried Bistro Sur La Mer, but it just didn’t do it for me – that was probably my least favourite dining option and when I sail with Princess again, it’s one I wouldn’t visit. The pizza slices by the pool? Well, they were as DELICIOUS as ever (I do love some Princess pizza) and the Indian buffet is an absolute MUST! It was so incredibly good.
OK, I’ll be quiet now. Simply click the images to enlarge, but please don’t try to eat anything! 😉

The Deluxe Balcony Dining seemed to be quite popular and although I didn’t sample the dinner side of the menu, I did try the breakfast offering. Anything you see noted above as ‘Deluxe Breakfast’ is part of that menu. It may vary slightly per-ship and season, but if you want to wake up to some early morning treats, it’s worth considering! The breakfast package costs $45 for two people and is served to your cabin one on go. Sadly, we couldn’t enjoy ours on the balcony as it was a little on the cold side, but it was just as nice from the comfort of the cabin seating area. The dinner option is served course-by-course in your cabin/on your balcony and that costs $100.
So, there you have it! That’s just a VERY small snapshot of the food available onboard. Everything was of a high quality and I can’t really pick fault with anything I ordered, aside from the Oeuf mollet Florentine in Bistro Sur La Mer, but that was simply because I didn’t like the flavour of the cheese.
There’s still more Sky Princess content to come, so watch this space! 🙂
