Why do I love cruising?
ย I will let the pictures tell you!
You don’t get this kind of view on land! It is reserved only for us lucky cruisers! This has to be my favourite time of the day!
I love stepping out on to the deck and finding myself in all sorts of weird and wonderful places. The Panama Canal last year being one of them. I don’t think I could ever go back to a land based holiday now, I enjoy the thrill of wondering what the next day will bring.
Dolphins!! The sight of them never gets old! You can’t exactly open your curtains at home and see this, can you? We were in the Mediterranean when I took this picture and the ship was surrounded by them. They just wanted to play! We wanted to jump in with them but managed to resist the temptation for obvious reasons! ๐
I LOVE being on the ship! Don’t think I need to say any more than that!
I really enjoy tender ports. I know they are not to everyone’s liking but personally I enjoy them especially if it’s a little choppy. See, you don’t think of all these extra little perks you get on a cruise. Some people on land probably pay good money for a little boat outing during their holiday but we get it as part of the fare price! ๐
FOOD!!!! A cruise is not a cruise without GOOD food! And as I am not the worlds greatest chef I do enjoy the various cuisine options onboard. Food always has been and always will be a big part of cruise life.
Delicious cocktails. I only ever drink cocktails on cruise ships so it is fair to say one does get a little excited over the bar menu ๐ my all time favourite has to be the Strawberry Daiquiri which is closely followed by the Long Beach Iced Tea. Heaven in a glass!
Ship spotting is a favourite game among us die hard cruise fans. I can often find myself mid-way through a conversation, I spot a ship and then have to politely excuse myself so I can go and figure out which ship it is. Again you only get this at sea. Obviously!
Some experiences you can only have in foreign lands like this one in Roatan where you can get up close and personal with some cheeky little monkeys. Literally! I love animals so anything like this is always top of my list when ashore.
Ahhh the motion of the ocean! The more the better I say although I am sure many will disagree! I love the rough weather at sea, it reminds me I am on a ship and the bigger the swell the better.
I could go on with this topic for about another week, really I could! I have more than 10,000 images from my various cruises but something tells me that blog would be a little too long! Maybe I should release a cruise photograph book? Now there’s an idea!
I end by saying once again that I LOVE CRUISING!
