Today’s blog is all about Disney Cruise Line’s, Disney Wonder. Quite possibly one of the best family friendly cruise ships out there, so, if a family holiday is what you are looking for then check out this 83,000 GT floating dreamland.
The Disney Wonder first entered service in 1999 and has proved to be a firm favourite with Disney cruisers along with her sister ship the Disney Magic. She can accommodate up to 2,700 passengers and Is 964 feet long.
A cruise with Disney really is one of a kind; everything on board is, believe it or not, Disney themed. From Mickey Mouse to Dumbo, Tinker bell and Pluto, every possible Disney character you can imagine is bound to pop up at some point.
On board you can find a wide range of facilities including Mickey’s pool, Buena Vista Theatre, Walt Disney Theatre, Vista Spa and Salon, Wave Bands and Promenade Café just to name a few.
What about eating I hear you ask, well, again you are definitely spoilt for choice. On board dining options include everything from a fine silver service meal to a quick daytime snack. You can grab a pizza from Pinocchio’s Pizzeria or a snack from Goofy’s Galley, if however something a little more indulgent is what you fancy then why not pop along to Triton’s, a main dining restaurant located on Deck 3. If you would prefer to go one step again and have an adult only dining experience then you must visit Palo. Palo is located on Deck 10 Aft and is completely child free.
The Fitness Centre is also a must visit and again is adult only. You will find spinning machines, open air track for walking and jogging and can even indulge in personal training sessions. Disney offer some nice little extra’s too including complimentary water and an iPod shuffle to enjoy whilst you work-out.
Disney Wonder offers cruises to some fantastic destinations including Alaska, Hawaii and the Bahamas, sailing from numerous ports including Miami, Florida, Galveston, Texas and Los Angeles, California.
There is a Disney cruise out there for us all I am sure of it. Whether you are 10 years old or 100 years old I imagine the magical experience that is Disney will reveal the playful child in us all.
