So I came across a great little video this morning about the refit of P&O Cruises Oriana and I had to share it with you all.
My first cruise was on board Oriana and they always say the first ship you sail on will stick with you and she really has. I am still a little disappointed she is now adult only as for me the noise of kids on holiday just makes the ship feel that little bit more alive, but, either way Oriana is still a stunning ship and I had two amazing cruises on board.
At this very moment Oriana is currently enjoying a 97 night world cruise (oh how I wish I was on board) and if I am correct she is today in Bali, Indonesia.
If anyone has been considering a cruise on Oriana but can’t quite decide I would say YES!! Book book book, you will certainly not be disappointed. Although I am yet to experience her as an adult only ship I am sure her charming and friendly atmosphere remain the same and hopefully Lord’s Tavern does too! That was a great little pub themed area. There was always something going on in there whether it be a vocalist performance or a simple pub style quiz.
The outside deck areas are also more than spacious and great for relaxing and her signature tiered stern is a fantastic place to just watch the world go by whether it is day or night.
During her refit Oriana received an additional 27 new cabins, these were placed at the aft of the ship where the children’s facilities had previously been. The Oriana Rhodes restaurant was replaced with the Ocean Grill restaurant by Marco Pierre White and a new restaurant entirely was introduced named Sorrento.
Oriana also had her aft deck bar area re-designed, many public rooms received a face lift and the Oasis Spa received a new aerobics floor.
I hope you all enjoy the video!!
