Cunard has announced its return to South America in 2025, marking the first time since 2020 the luxury cruise brand will offer voyages to the continent.
The warm shores of Brazil, Chile, Ecuador – and more – await those seeking the adventure of a lifetime when Queen Victoria sails west from Southampton, for 78 nights, in January 2025.
Cunard has a rich history of transatlantic crossings and worldwide voyages, and its eagerly anticipated return to South America represents a significant milestone for the iconic brand.
Its roundtrip South American Discovery voyage will offer guests the opportunity to explore some of the continent’s most iconic destinations, from the vibrant cities of Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro to the awe-inspiring natural wonders of Patagonia and the Chilean fjords. The sailing will also include stops in the charming Peruvian city of Callao, and Brazil’s historic coastal city of Salvador.
A selection of Cunard’s unforgettable shore experiences will allow travellers to explore some of the continent’s natural wonders and thrill-seeking attractions.
Whether it be venturing into Brazil’s Tijuca Rain Forest, learning to surf in Buzios, trekking to Chile’s beautiful Petrohue Falls and Emerald Lake, seeing the sights of Buenos Aires in a helicopter, visiting the Magellanic penguin colony at Punta Tombo, or kicking back on a wine tasting tour in the Chilean city of San Antonio – there is a little moment of magic for everyone.
Guests sailing on the 78-night South America voyage will also enjoy additional benefits, including a World Voyage cocktail party, a shoreside Gala event, a unique commemorative gift, the services of a World Voyage concierge, the use of a private lounge, and a fare inclusive of hotel and dining service charge.
Tom Mahoney, Director of UK Sales at Cunard, said: “We look forward to working with our trade partners as we return to South America for the first time in five years. Not only will guests have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the continent’s unique combination of history, culture, and natural beauty, but they will also experience 78 nights of our iconic White Star service and unrivalled onboard entertainment programme.
“We are also incredibly excited to work with partners that specialise in tailormade packages. In fact, over two-thirds of guests that we recently surveyed told us their holiday decision making is becoming more experience-led. With departures from Port Everglades in Florida, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and San Antonio in Chile, there are incredible opportunities to match Cunard’s sailings with unforgettable land-based experiences.”
Cunard’s South American Discovery, Southampton roundtrip, 78 nights (V503B), starting from £13,499 based on two sharing a Britannia Balcony stateroom.
