Eavesway Cruiselink Services 2023

For over 80 years, Eavesway Travel has been focused on providing quality travel across the UK. They are trusted by thousands of cruise passengers each year (me included) to get them to and from their cruise holiday via their reliable and cost-effective Cruiselink service; while big name companies across the world rely on them to provide the highest level of corporate travel with their Exclusive private hire service.

I’ve used Eavesway’s Cruiselink service for many years and I’ll be using them again for my journey to Southampton in June to join Celebrity Silhouette. It’s such an easy and convenient way to reach the port.

For 2023, there are numerous departure points available for a variety of ships and sailings, including those from the North-West and Yorkshire for MSC Virtuosa sailings.

There are currently offers on selected dates on MSC Virtuosa, as well as Iona, Britannia, Balmoral and Borealis – with £15.00 off each fare (dates can be found on the website). This offer runs till the end of February 2023.

In the spring, 3 new coaches will join the fleet, enabling Eavesway to keep their high standards of modern and environmentally friendly vehicles for the Cruiselink service.

If you’d like to use Eavesway for a future Cruiselink service, then view their departure points that are located across the country.

All Eavesway’s full-size coaches are DDA compliant, adapted to welcome passengers with disabilities. The Van Hool Altano, which makes up most of the fleet, seats up to 57 passengers with two seats detachable in the front cabin to accommodate a wheelchair. Access is by a demountable ramp through a large, two-door entrance ahead of the front axle, and the wheelchair is accommodated and secured in a lower seating area by the driver. Also in this lower seating area are a further three seats to enable a carer or family members to sit with the passenger. As this area is reserved primarily for wheelchair users and their travelling companions, please note that we are unable to take requests from other passengers for seats in this area on a Cruiselink service.

If you require wheelchair accommodation, please call Eavesway, as this is on a first come first served basis – 01942 727 985 – Option 1 for Reservations.

The main seating area is accessed by six shallow steps in a stairway with wider than usual space and handrails to assist with access. It accommodates 52 passengers with plenty of legroom and a foot-rest and includes amenities such as air conditioning and rear saloon washroom. In addition, a hearing aid induction loop is fitted, as are ISOFIX fittings for child seats if required.

I’ve travelled with Eavesway no less than 15 times and have never had a bad experience. I much prefer this option to rail and it’s 100% more reliable. You can book one-way or round-trip services, making it flexible if you only need one pick-up/drop-off.
