Quantum Of The Seas – Prepare To Be Wowed

Kristin-Chenoweth So the big Royal Caribbean International secret is finally out!

Emmy and Tony award winning actress and singer, Kristin Chenoweth is to be godmother to the new ship, Quantum of the Seas.

The announcement was made last night through adverts during the Oscars ceremony in Hollywood.

Quantum of the Seas is due to enter service in Autumn 2014 and will have space onboard for 4,100 passengers. She will be followed in the spring of 2015 by sister ship, Anthem of the Seas.

Chief executive Adam Goldstein said: “Our ships have always been designed for WOW andQuantum-of-the-seas-wow with Quantum of Seas, we are excited to introduce Quantum cruising and the ‘at sea’ firsts that our guests have come to expect from Royal Caribbean.

“We look forward to working with Kristen and having her officially name our ship when she is delivered in the fall of 2014.”

Richard D. Fain, chairman and CEO, Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD, said ”Kristin’s effortless grace and dynamic performances align perfectly with our newest class of ships and we could not be more honored to have her represent Quantum of the Seas.”

Quantum-of-the-seas-water-tank-testFull details of both vessels are still yet to be announced but an image was leaked recently showing a cruise ship model undergoing water tank testing. Could this be the Quantum of the Seas?

Although details are remaining a guarded secret  Royal Caribbean’s Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing, Lisa Bauer, commented “What I would say is that people should be prepared to be wowed. The Quantum class ships will live up to its name.”

    This can only get better for us, the clients. To sell all those tickets must heat-up the competition for passengers.
