Disney Fantasy To The Rescue

It really was Disney Fantasy to the rescue.

The ship was sailing from Port Canaveral, Florida, to Grand Cayman on Sunday afternoon when crew members aboard the Fantasy spotted four men on a small raft signalling for help.

Rebecca Peddie, Spokeswoman for Disney Cruise Line said “The men were brought aboard the 130,000 ton ship, where they were given medical attention along with food and water.”

She also commented “”We are proud of our Disney Fantasy crew members, who skillfully demonstrated their training and commitment to maritime protocols around saving lives at sea. We have notified the U.S. Coast Guard of this rescue and are working with the proper authorities to coordinate the debarkation of the group.”

It is believed the group of men did not disembark the ship in the Cayman Islands on Monday. They remain onboard the vessel.
